It’s official, I just finished my first year of teaching at DSU, and Cassie finished her semester of teaching Art History! It’s a great feeling to have made it to summer, and we are looking forward to the vacations, house projects, and time spent together, as well as the time to create some music and art.
To kick off the summer, friend and guitar virtuoso Chris Champion convinced me to compete in the “King of the Blues” competition at Guitar Center. I practiced hard for it, but unfortunately the competition was very tough. Even though I didn’t go to the next round, I had a lot of fun performing and got a lot of great feedback. Now I’m ready to go knock ‘em dead next year! More details about the summer, and my semester recap are soon to come.
