The new Annex site goes live!

We’re now open to the world at www.annexgroup.org.

This was a joint venture between Evan Merz, Dr. James Phelps, and myself.  I’m really pleased with how it turned out.  We are going to be posting updates about concert submissions for the Annex concert on April 24th.

I am also making a lot of progress on some new mixes for my upcoming CD this summer, so I’ll be posting some of the tracks soon.

Planets and More Lullabies

We had an enjoyable and semi-relaxing spring break before things kicked back into full gear this week.  I have several new projects coming up, including a new paper about The Planets Op. 32 by Gustav Holst.  I will be analyzing the seven movements, which include Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

I am also finished, or near-finished with the first completed movement of what will officially be Mechanical Lullabies, and this section will be Mechanical Lullaby pt. 2. You can listen or download the MP3 HERE.

There’s still a lot coming up, including the composer’s concert (Where Mechanical Lullaby pt. 2 will be debuted), the SEAMUS conference, the Annex concert, along with the Holst and Debussy papers.  It’s going to be a fun and wild couple of months!
