Bart Woodstrup Visits NIU

It was a pleasure to have Bart Woodstrup visit and share some of the projects he has been working on, some of which has included working with solar energy.  He also enlightened us with some Jitter knowledge in Max/MSP.

He has been doing some amazing work at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, much of which can be seen on his websites:

TechArt 2008 Performance from IMMArts on Monday

Mike Taylor will be heading up the concert again this year, which will feature a wide variety of composers for a single concert.

It sounds like there will be some snacks and lectures preceeding the performance, so it has been recommended to arrive early!

“Recurrence” Gallery Opening at NIU

Last week, Kim Strom and my wife, Cassie, presented their show, “Recurrence”.

They did an amazing job with the nature-themed show and had a great turnout at the reception.
The pieces from each of the artists worked amazingly with each other, despite having been made without the intention of displaying them together.  Kim featured photography-based work, while Cassie presented paintings, as well as three-dimensional crocheted work.
